The Air We Breathe Is Not Created Equal

Oxygen is essential to life and without it the body will die

. The air we breathe provides nutrients in order for the body to function. The quality of the air we breathe is essential to good health and higher energy levels. Unfortunately, not all the air we breathe is created equal. We are challenged with a nagging thing that hangs in the atmosphere and interferes with healthy air and that's pollution. Our environment is polluted with smoke, car exhausts, factory pollution with fine particulates of metal and noxious gases. Natural pollutants fill the air such as pollen, dust, and ozone to name a few.

Exposure to these pollutants is associated with numerous effects on our health including increased respiratory problems of the lungs and heart, kidneys, the skin. Overexposure to dangerous and harmful pollutants can lead to premature death. There is no escape. Staying inside is no longer a safe refuge because we are surrounded by chemicals and pollutants in the home and office: in the walls, the carpeting, the ceilings, the cabinetry, our mattresses.

There was a time when opening a couple of windows to let the clean air circulate throughout the house was enough to clear out a stuffy home. In some locations, to open the windows is no longer so healthy. To let the pollution circulate throughout the house invites an unhealthy environment. In other cases, a non-vented building can lead to health issues.

Running an air filter in the home is a healthy option and using an electrostatic filter is one of the best choices for cleaning the air and keeping it pollutant free. An electrostatic filter works by charging the dust particles in the air with positive and negative ions. Dust particles are attracted to metal plates in the machine, thus cleaning the air.

The filters are inexpensive, durable and easy to clean. Just wash it with a hose or vacuum the dust to clean it but washing all the dust out is highly recommended. It is important to clean the filters regularly for a highly efficient air filtration system. The filters are environmentally friendly. No more sending disposable filters to the landfill. Once you are using electrostatic filters in your HVAC system, you will notice a significant reduction in allergy reactions, a marked reduction is dusting furniture and all around easier to breathe without coughing or sneezing. Dust, dirt, pollen, mold spores are history.
