As marketing schemes are always prone to getting out of hand and being overused, some people fear that if this marketing scheme panned out, they will also be spammed through their phones aside from the usual email spams people normally receive.

So, if you plan on trying this type of promotion method, make sure you do it properly, well within the bounds of ethics and proper manners. This way, you can be sure that people will not get offended by your marketing ploys and discriminate against your products altogether.
