Malaga, Spain is one of the many regions in the country that is known for its beautiful beaches

Beaches On The Eastern Coast

The eastern coast of Malaga is filled with several beautiful beaches such as the one in Roncon de la Victoria where you will find the Cueva del Tesoro, an ancient grotto with a beautiful lake within. For a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea, you should make a trip to Nerja where the Balcon del Mediterraneo also known as the balcony of the Mediterranean Sea is located. Also in the same area is the Cueva de Nerja which is a 3000-year old cave that is filled with enormous stalactites that are just amazing to look at. Velez another part of the eastern coast of Malaga is also known for its olive and wine-making industry apart from its beautiful beaches. There are also historic sites in Velez such as the Santa Maria la Mayor church and the Palace of Maqueses de Ventel.

Monuments and Beaches In Antequera


Antequera is a town that is located 58 kilometres to the north of Malaga. It is also the location of the magnificent Torcal de Altequera mountain range. Aside from spending time on the beautiful beaches in the area, tourists can also explore the historic monuments that have been around since the ancient times and even as far back as the Bronze Age. Another attraction in the area is Carratraca, a beautiful thermal spa.

Beaches On The Western Coast

The western coast of Malaga became popular as a tourist destination as early as the 1960s because this is where Costa del Sol is located. Benalmadena, is a quaint fishing village with beautiful beaches. Tourists visiting the area also frequent the huge amusement park located near the romantic fishing village. Torremolinos was once a fishing district but today it has been transformed into a modern tourist destination with its modern shopping districts, hotels, clubs, discos and villa huren spanje.
