The Benefits Of Guest Blogging

Guest blogging is nothing new

Guest blogging is nothing new. If you are a blogger and want to increase the reputation of your own blog or if you do not have your own blog but are interested in seeing if it is something that you would like to do, then I would highly recommend giving guest blogging a shot. "Couldn't I just start my own blog using one of the multiple free services and experience the same thing" you ask. Well, you could, but it would not the same. When you are a blogger, you become the part of the blogging community that revolves around your niche, a community that is outspoken and through which ideas flow freely.

There are several benefits to guest blogging. Actually, there are too many to list here, but we will talk about a few of the most important ones.

Backlinks and Indexing. The SEO benefits of guest blogging are obvious. The main reason that bloggers post on other blogs is for the obvious benefits that come with backlinks pointing to your own website. Of course, this does not mean that you will be totally self-serving and submit just for backlinks, but they are part of the deal, none-the-less. If you add backlinks to your guest post, be sure to check with the blog owner concerning any backlinking policies that may be in place for that blog. It is important that you follow the rules because one of your goals should be to submit guest posts on a regular basis and the only way you can do this is to play by the rules.

Increased Traffic. Another benefit of guest blogging is increased traffic and it is gained in two ways. As mentioned previously, blogging as a guest allow the author to give himself backlinks, so-to-speak. This inevitably leads to a rise in the search engine rankings as it is no secret that backlinks add to the reputation of you website, a fact that has been openly acknowledged by search engine algorithm engineers. As a guest blogger, you should expect to see an increase in organic search engine traffic due to the SEO benefits of your new high-quality relevant backlink, not to be confused with low-quality non-relevant backlinks.

A Fresh Audience. Yet another benefit is a fresh audience. As a new guest blogger, and a new member of that blogging community that you have submitted to, you now have access to an entirely new group of people which will have fresh eyes and fresh minds with which to view your article and hopefully, your site. By default, you will gain new readers and hopefully, some of these readers will become regular visitors. A fresh audience may, in turn, lead to more backlinks which would lead to even higher rankings in the search engines. Honestly, who couldn't use more traffic?

New Subscribers. All of the aforementioned points should be pursued with the goal of gaining more subscribers. A subscriber list is most important in that it is a source of repeat traffic. Anyone can drive some amount of traffic to their website, but the really smart blogger drive repeat traffic to their blog by continuously adding value and actively building a targeted subscriber list that is spoon-fed via an auto-responder. Ultimately, the list of targeted subscribers leads to the next point.

Increased Income. A targeted list, according to internet marketers, brings with it income. Therefore, it would make sense to say that the more targeted and larger your subscriber list is, the more income you can draw from it. This last point is also quite self-explanatory.

So, if you have blog or are interested in starting one, you should definitely give guest blogging a try. If done correctly, the benefits can be enormous over time as it is a great promotional tool.

Remember, guest posts bring with them backlinks and reputation which lead to increased traffic, which leads to a fresh audience, which leads to new subscribers, which lead to increased income for your blog or website.
