There are many advantages to writing a company blog, including:1. Optimisation: Search engines love blogs because they offer fresh, relevant content all the time. Being considered a valuable resource:Ideally, blog posts should always add value- otherwise, why are people going to want to read it? The kind of value they add is completely up to you and can change as much as you'd like. Blogs can be informative, entertaining, funny, reliable or all of the above. The more value your blog adds the more likely readers will be to return to it, and the more they will start trusting the things you have to say (and possibly the products or services you provide).3. Humanising your organisation:Blogs can and should be considered a window into your company culture. Not every post has to be about business. You'll have the chance to pick their brains, share what you learned and expand your network.6. Review and share:Part of being a valuable resource is finding out what types of things your readers are interested in, learning about them, testing them, and sharing the results you find. If you write a fashion blog you might comment on fabric types, maintenance vs. cost, and where your readers can find the best deals, in addition to current trends and collections. A lot of companies create blogs but then don't update them often enough or end up just promoting their products. If written well, blogs can actually become great resources. They are the perfect way to generate trust amongst readers and maybe even sell more products and services.
