Is Google Android Web browser faster than Apple iPhone browser?
Yes, says a speed test conducted by Blaze Software Inc., a Canadian software company. Turning out a shocking revelation for Apple that always boasts of its iPhone's competency over Android phones, Blaze's study reveals that Android browser is on average 52 percent faster than the iPhone browser. In other words, Android phone needed 2.1 seconds for a Web page to load, while iPhone needed 3.2 seconds for the same, according to the tests. Blaze took an iOS 4.3-run Apple iPhone 4 and Android 2.3-run Google Nexus S as sample models for the Android Vs iPhone Web browser test.
During tests, Google Android Web browser far simply loaded Web sites including all page elements, like text, image and videos. Meanwhile, Apple iPhone lagged a bit when compared with Android browser. Totally, Android phones won over iPhone in 84 percent of the Web sites tested, as iPhone winning in 16 percent.
Blaze Software tests further exposed that JavaScript speed enhancements in the latest iPhone and Android software have brought on no significant changes in Web loading speed. Only slight changes were witnessed in speed between iOS 4.3 and iOS 4.2 and Android 2.3 and Android 2.2. When Apple iOS 4.3-run iPhone 4 took 3.25 seconds for a site to load, its older version iOS 4.2 took 3.18 seconds. Likewise, Android 2.3 and Android 2.2 differed with 2.14 seconds and 2.37 seconds.
Sporting Google's Android 2.2, FroYo, OS, the INQ Cloud Touch features a bespoke UI with Facebook integration at its heart. According to an article over on Slash Gear, by way of TUAW, Robert Stephens was on his way to work when he notice a gas explosion and recorded the fireball on his iPhone 4, and then he proceeded to transfer the video to his Apple iPad 2 while in his car, and edited said video footage using the iMovie app.
The results of which you can view below, apparently the video footage even made it to MSNBC and CNN, and he says that if he hadn't of had his Apple iPad 2 handy at the time he would have probably uploaded the raw footage.
With the use of the iMovie app on the Apple iPad 2, Stephens was able to put together a pretty good report on the event, so head on down and check it out, and feel free to let us know what you thinkenjoy.
