Create a group of friends that have similar habits and courses of study. If you are around other hard workers, you'll work hard too. This does not mean you could not have fun while in a group. You can find people that approach college with a balance.

Used textbooks are the only way to go when on a budget. Used textbooks will save you a lot of money over newer ones. Used options are always a better for your pocket.

Never turn in your first draft without taking the time to take a break from it and then rereading it. Take time to write it a second time. The environment in which you study can make a world of difference. A dorm room is probably not a good place for you to study. You may find it preferable to discover a locale that is quiet. Your best bet will be the library. If you have to study in your dorm, put in ear plugs or headphones.

If you want to save money in tuition, think about attending a community college first. You'll obtain your associate's degree in about 24 months.
