Comprising of 58 facets usually cut in two pyramids placed base to base, the current Brilliant Cut diamond proportions outline 33 facets on the crown (the top half pyramid which is looked at the most when set) and 25 facets on the pavilion (the lower half pyramid which is usually hidden when set in a band).
