The Candida, Acetaldehyde, and Molybdenum Connection

The Candida, Acetaldehyde, and Molybdenum Connection

Acetaldehyde, also called aldehyde, is an organic chemical compound used commonly in perfumes. It occurs naturally in coffee, bread, and ripe fruit and is considered a probable carcinogen in humans by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

What does this have to do with Candida? Acetaldehyde is a waste product of Candida and is the cause of much of the harm done by the disease. It can affect the metabolic functions of the body as well as the endocrine, neurological and immune systems. It is a fungal waste product which cannot be excreted from the body, and in fact, accumulates. These accumulations can be responsible for weak muscles, irritations, and body pain.

Candida is responsible for flooding the body with an accumulation of toxic Acetaldehyde which leads to a poisoning of tissues that accumulate in the brain, spinal cord, joints, and muscles.

Molybdenum is a natural trace mineral that is capable of breaking down fungal waste into acetic acid, which can be excreted from the body. The acetic acid coverts into acetyl coenzyme A, a major part of the body's energy system. Common sources of molybdenum include legumes, such as beans, peas, and lentils; grains; leafy vegetables; liver; and nuts.

Essentially, Molybdenum transforms harmful poisons into useable energy for ridding the body of toxic waste. This can lead to increased energy levels, improved strength, decreased joint and muscle pain, better concentration, and more. These are all symptoms of Candidiasis, that are improved by taking this mineral supplement.

Molybdenum is sold as a supplement in some health food stores and over the Internet. It is sold as sodium molybdate or ammonium molybdate in capsule form, usually combined with other nutrients.

As always, I recommend consulting with a Naturopathic doctor and, or, a dietician before taking supplements.
