The Change Our Thought Makes
Ever hear the old saying: "You are what you eat"
? If: every day you eat sugar, spice and everything nice, then chances are you're not going to be any of those things; you are going to wind up over weight!
It really is important what we think. If we find ourselves pondering on the darker side of things all the time we will begin to loose the ability to see the brighter side.
If you happen to be hungry but your trying not to think about eating that big juicy sandwich before dinner, then you are almost certain to ruin your appetite with it or some other snack.
we also need to take care when thinking positively as well. If we over inflate the realism of good things then we can be putting ourselves in a position for a lot of disappointment when reality proves differently.
The right way to think:
My point here is that people often get lost in thought, they go day to day thinking about what someone else wants and how to accommodate them so it will somehow make their life better. Or they ponder advancing at work and other such ideas.
Taking a moment to focus our thought correctly can take a bit of willpower and requires us to really meditate deeply about the true root to as why we would waist valuable brain power on being agitated by others or similar unproductive thoughts.
A brief illustration:
Our jobs are important to us, a higher standing at our workplace means better money, and that is important if we are having financial problems. A lot of the time this just isn't the real scenario as when people gain better incomes they tend to expand their expenses at the same time.
A person will think that now they got a promotion that they can buy that great new 3D TV or something of the like, and be able to do so on payments, but fail to consider when unexpected expenses may arise. Worse than that, the item they are still paying for may become outdated or lose its attraction to them before it is even paid for.
Am I getting this across:
Everybody has needs and they are always specifically concerning us as individuals. There is no cure all elixir for every person and it the responsibility of each person to work towards their needs. The problem is that many of us don't truly know what we need.
In order to truly get to the root of what will make the most positive difference in our lives we need to think deeply of what we truly desire. We need to get past the impulsive wanting, and dig deep into what drives us.
we need to take some time to free our minds in a peaceful setting and start asking ourselves a some simple questions like: will that thing I am after really make a difference? If so, for how long? Why do I want it? What is it that I really want to gain? If you are persistent with these questions regularly, you may find the answer that surface to be quite surprising.
If this is difficult for you to do then you should consider learning how to meditate. Deep meditation is extremely effective for internalization and will help you reach your real passions while also making others around you benefit from your lifted spirit.
