Off set print is the vinyl record of the printing world. It uses analogue technology (plates and blankets), but produces a higher resolution print than a digital press.
Set up costs are higher, but run on costs (cost per sheet) are a lot lower. Great for all kind of printing, generally run sizes of 500 sheets +. Used to

CMYK-
This is a type of offset printing using the CMYK colour spectrum. Effectively any colour can be produced, by mixing different percentages of Cyan, magenta, Yellow & Black. This means that you can have many different colours in your artwork and the price remains the same.
This allows for a number of different jobs to be printed at the same time, on a larger sheet size. The advent of Aggregated printing has driven down the price of full colour printing in recent years, especially for business cards, letterheads, flyers, posters, brochures, magnets, stickers, note pads etc.
Slight variation of colour between runs is the only real drawback to full colour printing.
Spot or PMS colours-
This is another variation of offset printing using specific coloured ink in the press, depending on the colours of each job. PMS printing has stayed relevant due to the slight colour variation that occurs in full colour printing. Although more expensive in most cases, PMS or Spot colour printing allows for exact colour matching.
Often used to print business stationary and marketing material for large corporates who are very conscious of colour consistency. Business Cards, Flyers, Letterheads, Brochures, Note pads, Invoice Books, NCR Books etc
Digital Printing
Digital Printing is the most recent of print technologies to the market. This is a great option for small runs and extremely fast turnaround time. The set up costs are much lower than offset printing, but the run on cost (cost per sheet) is higher. Print resolution is not quite as high as offset printing, and some colours cannot be achieved with digital printing.
Used to print small runs or urgent jobs. Flyers, Post Cards, Drop Cards, Business Cards, Brochures, Stickers, Labels, posters etc.
Wide Format Digital Printing-
This is another variation of digital printing, which prints from a roll. Used to print Banners, Posters, Vinyl Stickers, Vehicle Signage, Signageetc
Flat bed printing
This is another variation of digital printing which can print on to any flat surface. Often used for signage on PVC Board, corflute etc. This extremely versatile process can also be used to create custom point of sale displays, print doors edge to edge, surfboards, checkerplate etc.
