Everyone wants to build traffic for their website but one mistake they make while trying to get traffic is that they concentrate only on the things that they have to do to increase traffic. If you really want to get traffic to your website you have to concentrate on what you have to do along with focusing on what to avoid or what not to do. Preventing yourself from committing the mistakes that can lead you to lose traffic is the key to be successful in building traffic for your website.

To make things easier for you, I am going to provide you with a list of things that you should NOT be doing if you want to get more traffic to your website. Read the list and identify the things that you are doing currently and make sure that after you are done reading, you instantly stop doing that!

Do not use too many keywords. Too many keywords will just make your content look spammed. If your content gives the impression of being a spam, then it is going to lose value. Also if your content is filled with too many keywords, the search engine might stop giving your website as their results. It is a big risk.

Do not do marketing for your website everywhere. True that marketing is a thing which can lead you to eventual traffic success but you have to be careful while marketing. If you do marketing for your website everywhere your website is not going to have a good impression. Do not post comments on every blog. You should consider the reputation of the website or the blog that you are marketing your product in. If it is appropriate, only then you should market your website.

Do not send daily emails to your subscribers. If a visitor has subscribed to your website, he has already become a part of web traffic. It also means that he is interested in your website but that does not mean you should swarm his mail box with emails. You do not want to end permanently in the junk folder of his mail box. The key is to send weekly or may be monthly email. Send more content in few emails.

Do not make fake promises. Things like, we are going to give you instant 7000+ subscribers is a fake promise and believe me while some people may fall for this, most of them know that it is just a fake promise. This might offend them which will make them avoid coming to your website and trust me you don't want that. You don't want to lose traffic, you want to increase traffic!

Do not add a casual video to your website. Make it seem formal and informative. It is sometimes more beneficial to make a video that has graphics and animations to give information you can also add text to your videos.

If you are doing any of the things that are mentioned above, you can lead yourself to serious trouble. If you want to increase traffic, STOP doing them!
