Coming in 2010, the Sony Ericsson Hazel is a slider phone that comes with all the

necessary features that make it a functional device and a few little extras that give it a well rounded, phone-for-all marketability. The phone is also very aesthetically pleasing; its slider-phone design is both stylish and compact making it a great choice for anyone. Even with its features and form, biggest highlight of the Hazel is not its tech specs, but its manufacturing details. This little SE mobile device is part of the Greenheart series. Sony Ericssons Greenheart series of products are made with the goal of reducing the overall carbon emissions of products by 15% (they are also reducing the carbon emissions of production processes by 20%). This is accomplished through various methods, such as using over 50% recycled plastics for the devices. Meet the Hazel Creating a slider phone requires balancing a little bit of style with finesse. This is because slide phones need to be slim enough even when in compact mode, but not so slim as to be too hard to handle when the device is slid open. The Hazel has the dimensions of 102 x 49.5 x 16 mm with the 16mm thickness (approximately 0.6 inches) it is just the right size to hold in the center of your hand. It weighs in at a decent 120 grams, making it light enough to carry on your shirt pocket. The device comes in two colors: Superior Black and Passionate Red. While the black color variant is a great for most people, the red is also a nice choice for anyone who likes to be a little more expressive. Both colors are rich and deep toned, giving the phone a very sophisticated finish. One of the main highlights of the Hazel is that it can handle both video and audio files nicely. Sony has a long history with portable entertainment and they continue to shine with this device; the built in music player can handle MP3 and AAC files while delivering high quality audio thanks to its MegaBass feature. Camera Specifications The device comes with a smartly designed 5 mega pixel camera. With auto focus, flash and digital zoom; it has all the basic components you would need to make high quality snapshots a breeze. Flash is particularly important when making shots with bad lighting to work out fine. If you cannot manage a good shot, the device comes with the Photo Fix software that will allow you to adjust contrast, brightness and other details. There are also other features such as the smile and face detection which makes taking images of friends and family much easier. Go Online Connectivity is another prime feature of the Sony Ericsson Hazel as it allows users to easily connect to their favorite sites and feeds with the widget system. The widget manager allows users to instantly change widget contents it even supports Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. The widgets can also be seen when the device is on standby mode.
