The Flag Still Stands For Freedom

Out next door neighbor are wonderful people, they are here legally from Peru

. They are hardworking, honest people who love their family and are good citizen. I love to talk to them about America and the opportunities to succeed here. It makes me proud to be an American.

Recently this sweet lady lost her job due to down sizing. It was hard for them, they had a mortgage and two small children to support, but she said that this is a big land, a big place with so many opportunities to make money. She didn't cry about it, didn't ask for government hand out, she leased printing equipment and stared a little printing shop right in her down stairs, pandering to the hispanic community. Six months later she is doing well and helping to support her family again. I love her attitidue, work hard and take advantage of opportunities. That is the American dream that the world has been denied and has been available here. We need to keep it available and do everything in our power to protect the rights of working Americans from doctors to construction workers.

I love to see flag fly from small businesses to school to houses to courthouses; government flags setting the example for all Americans to follow, fly your flag with pride and respect. Don't just let the government flags shine, fly your own for your own reasons. I visited Washington D.C. lately and was so touched to see the flag flying on every building. We have a land to be proud of. We certainly have our problems, we certainly have things that need fixing and work but if we don't destroy the payoff for hard work, and let people get ahead by starting small businesses this country will continue to be the envy of the world.

If we kill incentive through overtaxation we have destroyed the very fiber that makes this country great. We have to believe that we can work for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
