The hunter round utilizes a distance oriented exercise. Archers are supposed to land a shot on target placed 70 yards away for adults. For children the hurdle is usually marked at 30 to 40 yards. The hunter round utilizes the same scoring system as the field round.
The final round the animal round consists of a simulated hunting exercise. An animal shaped targets are placed at point is shot from three points. Failure to shoot the target from the first location will reduce the points the participant can gain.
