Ok, so youve decided that you would like to make money online. Youve setup your website, youve chosen a great product to market, but theres only one problem. 10 days have gone by, and you havent had one hit on your site.

So how do people get traffic from Google?

If you wanted to promote CDs on your website, how do you get people to type in Buy CDs, and your site pops up in the number one spot?

Well its easy. By using Google Adwords.

Adwords is the advertising program that Google runs which allows you to bid on certain keywords. If your bid is the highest, you will appear in the number one spot on Google when people do a search for that keyword.

So lets do an example:

You decide to promote CDs on Amazon.com.

You have a website with links to Amazon, which will earn you a commission when people buy from your site.

Now all you have to do is setup an Adwords account and start creating targeted adverts for people to click on when they do a Google search.

So you create your advert which says something like Buy The Best CDs Now!

You then bid 50c on the keyword phrase Buy cds.

So now when people do a search for Buy cds, your ad will appear on Google in the position related to your bid price. When they click on it, it will cost you 50c.

50c may sound like a lot for 1 click, but if 1 in 3 people buy your cd, it will cost you $1.50 per sale.

If your CD sells for $20, and you earn 75% commission on it, you will earn $15, which will give you a $13.50 profit. Not too bad really.

Of course this is just one of the ways people make money online.

There are many free methods that you can use.
