The HTC Desire HD combines powerful hardware with the latest Android 2.2 operating

system and the Sense user interface which provides a seamless experience and allows you to run multiple applications at once. Additionally, the handset has an 8 megapixel camera and location based services among other features.

The Gallery application allows you to enjoy photos and videos in High Definition on the handset, while you can also use the DLNA connectivity to share them on a compatible television including your music, which can be played back with the Music player application also preinstalled. Audio is provided with Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound, while the 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth wireless stereo audio connections allow you to use headphones or a wireless headset respectively.

The Desire HD has a large 4.3 inch WVGA (480 by 800 resolution) touch screen display with pinch to zoom capability. It has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor in addition to 768 megabytes of random access memory (RAM) which enables it to seamlessly power multiple applications at once with the Android 2.2 operating system and Sense intuitive user interface. Internal storage memory meanwhile, is 1.5 gigabytes with a further expandable memory provided by a microSD card slot with SD 2.0 compatibility.

The handset features an impressive 8 megapixel auto focus camera with a dual LED flash and face detection for image capturing. Video recording is in 720 pixel resolution, HIgh Definition. The camera also includes other built-in effects for photos and both photos and videos have automatic location tagging (geotagging). Media can be instantly shared with friends using the integrated Facebook application, Peep for Twitter or Flickr social networks.

The phone has an internal GPS antenna which allows it to provide Locations for information about local places to go, and maps with zero waiting on downloading as you move around them. Android Market allows you to add further applications to the handset which in turn may also provide further location based services or resources. The Navigate application also provides detailed and step-by-step route planning and navigation from one location to another in car or on foot.

The HTC Desire HD is an impressive handset featuring a large display and powerful camera capable of video recording in HD and producing great photos which can be shared with many on a big screen using the DLNA connectivity. Additionally, the handset also runs the latest Android operating system which provides you with many possibilities through the Android Market.
