The HTC Wildfire Is Packed With Features by:Chris Westley

Renowned Smartphone manufacturer HTC has recently announced the release of their latest handset

, the Wildfire. Boasting a number of impressive features ranging from a 5 mega pixel digital camera, Wi-Fi internet access and the impressive v2.1 of the Android operating system, it is easy to see the appeal of this handset.

Access to the internet is provided courtesy of both 3G coverage and Wi-Fi technology. Wi-Fi detects the signals provided by wireless internet routers in both commercial and domestic locations and utilises the signals to provide a fast Internet connection at broadband speeds. If a wireless Internet router is not locally present, then 3G coverage provides access to the Internet courtesy of an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second. Class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE provide connections to cellular networks dependent upon location and network coverage. Both Bluetooth and micro USB connections are both installed as standard which allows the HTC Wildfire to connect to compatible hardware devices such as phones and computers.

A powerful five mega pixel camera is included within the handset and provides a method of taking high quality digital photographs at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels. A number of image enhancing features are included such as Autofocus smile detection and an LED flash, which simplifies the task of taking quality images even in low lighting conditions. Thanks to GPS, geo-tagging operates to automatically record the location at which a photo was taken. As an alternative method of image capture, the camera can also shoot video footage.

The 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen relies on a pixel resolution of 240x 320 pixels to provide excellent quality display of on screen imagery at the same time providing an interactive means of navigating the HTC Sense user interface. An accelerometer sensor is built into the screen which allows it to automatically rotate so it can be viewed in both portrait and landscape which is ideal for viewing photos and video files. An optical trackpad is also provided which offers an additional means of navigating menus within user interface.

Many features and applications are provided as standard appealing to a wide range of different users. The internal media player is versatile and can accommodate many different formats of music and video files whilst a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed games offer additional entertainment options. Social networking integration allows users to share their thoughts with friends and family in seconds and popular sites such as Facebook whilst GPS with A-GPS support allows various functions to operate such as the digital compass and geo-tagging.

Plenty of internal storage is available for data such as media files thanks to the inclusion of a micro SD slot. This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB which are sure to prove sufficient for the needs of most users.

It is easy to see the appeal of this stunning new handset thanks to its impressive aesthetics and availability of a number of colour variants including black, brown, white and red along with its functional list of specifications.
