The Htc Hd Mini Provides The Htc Sense User Interface

The HTC HD Mini offers the HTC Sense user interface and all of the usual features of HTC handsets in the most compact phone of all

. Despite being smaller, it still has powerful hardware, a large display, and a 5 megapixel camera.

The compact handset has a large 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen display with 320 by 480 resolution (HVGA technology), which has an ambient light sensor and is capable of muting the phones ringer when laid screen down by the user. When the user touches the screen, the phone comes to life and the user is presented with a home screen which they can create for themselves by specifying their own shortcuts to where they most want to go.

The HD Mini has the easy to use HTC Sense user interface on top of Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system, unlike most other phones form the manufacturer which are Android based. This makes syncing with a PC even easier and the handset works easily with ActiveSync 4.5 for Windows XP and Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista and 7 respectively.

The handset also thus relies on Microsoft for a more powerful and well-known means off media organisation by featuring Windows Media Player, which sorts tracks, allows the user to shuffle them, provides album artwork and detailed information along with playlist creation. Meanwhile, it also supports all major audio and video formats. Additionally, the handset has an internal FM radio for the user to enjoy.

Connectivity is offered through Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and has many profiles supported including A2DP and AVRCP for wireless stereo audio between the handset and a wireless headset or stereo system. A 3.5mm audio jack connection is also present for traditional stereo headphones. Both the Bluetooth and the micro-USB 2.0 connections offer internet sharing, which may be very fast when using the internal Wi-Fi router, and also making web browsing on the Opera Mobile browser seamless for the user from anywhere too.

The phones 5 megapixel auto focus camera is capable of capturing photos and videos, and they can then be viewed back in the Photos and Videos application. Additionally, the camera is capable of capturing photos in windscreen mode (16:9 ratio). Photos can also be instantly shared with friends through Facebook which is integrated or Twitter with the HTC Peep application for easy tweeting, as well as the Flickr school networking service. Videos can be shared via YouTube too.

The HTC HD Mini provides the HTC Sense simplistic user interface on top of the Windows Mobile operating system which offers more well-known applications such as Opera Mobile web browser and Windows Media Player within this compact handset through what is still a large vivid touch screen display.
