Strict procedures to be adopted

In the Gb, there is a procedure by the HSE that's named as "Working at Height Regulations 2005", and this clearly states that any individual who is involved in assembling, dismantling or altering the structure of a mobile access tower, is required to be highly competent in doing the procedure or the person should be in the process of getting the mandatory training to do so.

Any person who's skilled should be proficient of demonstrating a good level of competence. This competence could be demonstrated in the form of smart training or it may be in the form of on the job training or expertise.

So, how is a person determined as competent with relation to Pasma Training & Its Relation to Working at Height?

According to HSE, an individual who's competent is considered to be one who can:

Carry out the duties that have been allocated to him or her at the level of accountability that is allotted to him or her.

The individual completing the assigned jobs should be proficient of identifying all kinds of potential hazards which are related to the work that is under construction or to the machine that is being applied at work.

The person perform the task must be capable of detecting any types of technological defects or omissions in the work that is being done or the devices that is being used to carry out the job at hand.

Individuals doing such types of jobs must be capable of recognizing any health implications and all the safety&security danger that may result as a cause of mistakes or omissions and they should also be capable of specifying corrective actions to mitigate those implications.

Subjection to Working at Height regulations

Any individual who is assembling a mobile tower or functioning on it will be subject to the Working at Height regulations as is stated in the rules clearly laid out by ACWAHT also known as A dvisory Committee on Working At Height.

The Body which is accountable for the government of PASMA training is the 'not for profit' body "PASMA". The Body clearly states that individuals undergoing PASMA training need to undergo the training only at authorized training centres. The above are the very fundamentals of Pasma Training & Its Relation to Working at Height.
