The Key To Controlling Post-exercise Hunger

, you will naturally feel hungry after. And when you are hungry, your tendency is to eat; and because you lost a lot of energy, you also have the tendency to binge and eat like you haven't eaten for days. So instead of trimming down, you would wonder why you have gained weight instead even with your regular exercise. If you want to maintain your health and the nice figure of your body, you do not have to deprive yourself with food in the process. All you have to do is get some eating discipline and a good diet while having an exercise regimen.
1. Grab a decent bite before working out. So you have a regular schedule for exercising. All you need to do is to also have a regular schedule for eating first before you go and hit the gym. This way, when you're done working out, you won't feel really hungry that you want to eat a whole horse. In fact, when you keep this routine of eating first before exercising, you will notice how your tendency to eat after your workout will be lessened if not completely eliminated.
2. Fix your after-exercise meal yourself. As has been mentioned, one will normally feel hungry after working out at the gym or after having that daily jog or after that afternoon brisk walk. But instead of heading straight to the nearest McDonald's or doughnut store, it would be wise to prepare your tuna sandwich yourself. You may also bring along a healthy fruit pack that you can feast on after your exercise. This way you will be sure that you have gotten yourself nothing but a healthy snack pack with ingredients that will be helpful for your body. Preparing your after-exercise meal yourself will also assure you that you are not getting any hidden fats that are always present in those fast-food treats.
3. Get a good amount of protein. Protein is vitamin for the muscles. With protein-packed meals, you will always feel solidly full even when you have only eaten less. This translates to less the craving to eat even after exercising. Of course, make sure that your meals are balanced and you're not getting too much of protein only.
4. Be conscious of what you eat. The key to maintaining a good health through exercise is moderation. You do not have to deprive yourself with food by having a strict and bland diet. You just have to be conscious of what you eat and the amount you take in. You should also drink a lot of water because it reduces hunger and fills the stomach so the feeling of hunger and craving for food is lessened.
