The Lost Bride

Today, an old legend came to my mind, so I would like to share it with you

. It derived from an old legend you have never heard, so a long shadow of suspicion may rise. However, the legend was once a real thing, but secrets and rumors were always around it. Thus the legend was made by each of us. It was a shiny day, even the lazy moo-cow in the mountain had a shiny smile. There was a small village with about eighty people. And today, a marriage was hold in the central church, so everyone got together to celebrate for the new couple. The beautiful bride, dressed gorgeously in bridal gowns, waited in the ladies room for the ceremony. In the other side, the groom was preparing his oath in the waiting room. Everything went well in harmony, villagers got dressed in party dresses, waited in seat, bringing presents with their best wishes. But things happened, when the priest called for the bride, there was no response. The bride had gone! The groom couldn't believe that his beloved bride would betray him, so he declared to find her no matter how long he would search. But there were no clues for the disappearance of the bride, because there were no other windows or doors connected to the outside. Only a thing happened with the disappearance of the bride. Candles were blew out, and it were dark in the room when people came in to call the bride. bridal gowns were also gone with the bride, that was the most difficult part for people to understand. If the bride managed to escape herself, she would not get dressed like that. If the bride was taken by someone, some traces of struggles should be left such as a piece of rag from the bridal gowns. So the priest said the bride was taken by the God, but the groom believed that his bride was taken by the wind which blew out the candles. In all, the bride had been lost, nobody knew where and why she had gone. That's the story from the groom's part. It was believed that he people were totally blind at a moment, because that could be a best explanation for the strange thing. No one saw, and no one knew. However, from the bride's part, the story was almost the same. After the fire on candles was put out by winds, the bride fell into the darkness. She suddenly could not see anything. It was not a simple world without light. It was more likely a world in which no light would exist. It was so horrible that the bride was totally terrified and fell into a faint. Yes, nobody knew what happened, even including the lost bride herself.
