Pastor Denise Gotautis' The Lost of the Great White Throne is a gripping Christian thriller that details the final judgment of Satan and Mankind. Based on Christian prophecy, Gotautis depicts a world full of chaos and sin as the end times approach. The book captures many different events that show a world immersed in sin. One of the characters in the book, Reverend Good, states, "these are the last days . . . the devil attacks us not only in this physical realm, but now he is coming stronger in the spiritual realm too." The Lost of the Great White Throne illustrates life in heaven and earth, entertaining and educating in the process of sending one resounding message: God loves everybody, it's the sin he hates-a message we all need to hear.

The Lost of the Great White Throne is inspired by a vision Pastor Denise Gotautis received portraying the unsaved dead standing before the Throne of God in chains and black robes. As the end draws near and Jesus' return is imminent, Gotautis' emphasizes that Satanic influence will be at an all-time high. The analogy "the night is darkest before the dawn" is most appropriate description of the end times.

From outright murder, food shortages and skyrocketing prices, adultery and all manner of indulgences, the world seems to be in mayhem. For example, the stock market collapses to ludicrous proportions. The result: "As the reporter spoke they were hearing sirens in the background. People were fighting and looting. The reporter moved nervously, stating this is the end of the great American dollar."

Ultimately, The Lost of the Great White Throne, while thoroughly entertaining, also calls for today's society to prepare for Jesus' arrival. Those who have accepted him are not afraid of death. In the course of the novel, some of the characters are required to give up their lives for Christ; some are raptured, while others are left behind to face a period of tribulation. Pastor Denise Gotautis effectively uses the art of storytelling to convey important information about Jesus and his imminent return.
