This is a high end device that is used simply for analyzing the catalytic activity within the chemisorption process. It will determine the results and give a readout on the surface characteristics.

The process is fairly simple by definition. It is essentially, and for all purposes defined as and interaction between an adsorbed substance and a substrate surface. The absorption occurs between a solid surface, and a substance that is either in a liquid form or a gas form. This type of reaction is actually quite common and quite useful in any industry.

Chemisorption Analysis is used for coating metals or other surfaces. Gold plating would be a great example, as well as many other things. The chemisorption analyzer itself needs to meet a few conditions. The most important condition of course being that it is resistant to any of the gases or materials that might be processes within it. For the most part you will find that the analyzers are composed of stainless steel as this material is very resistant to any type of gas or hazardous material.

Gases released into the chamber will absorb into the material within the chamber, and the gas will return to the opposite end of the chamber where it will be analyzed. It is quite amazing, the amount of data that can be extracted from that gas, which is exactly why these analyzers are in such high demand. Over the years, they have become more and more advanced, and as they advance they allow for more advances in science.

The analyzer is designed to provide quite a bit of data regarding the absorbed reactants, and it can even go down to their basic elements. There was a time when all of this was done manually, but there was a high demand for an automated chemisorption analyzer, and these days nearly all of them are automated. For the most part these analyzers will not have a computer built in. They can be connected to a computer that runs software related to the device. This is actually a good thing because it permits a worker to be outside of the room while running the tests.

A chemisorption analyzer is not only a vital piece of lab equipment, it is a vital component to the future of research. Using it we will be able to test new materials and create new technologies. The future is just around the corner, are you ready?
