Friendly bacteria are important for a healthy immune system, to protect against disease causing microorganisms and for digesting and absorbing food and nutrients. They may help to alleviate some of the symptoms of food allergies like those associated with milk protein.- Young children can benefit from probiotics in terms of their immune system development.Probiotics have an array of benefits including booting the immune system to aid in fighting infections, allergies and exposure to toxins and also controlling the digestive system, alleviating lactose intolerance and irritable bowel syndrome.
