The Shakespeare comedy which tells the story of rich merchant Antonio and Jewish moneylender Shylock will be performed by Chapterhouse Theatre Company, on Saturday August 21, at 7pm, at Capel Manor College. Lot of People are invited to take picnics and seating from 6pm. Though The Merchant of Venice concludes with the resolution of one of literatures most infamous debts, Shylock isnt ended with Antonio or with New York, just yet. On Monday, the Public Theater said it would transfer its Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merchant of Venice to Broadway in the fall. Al Pacino will stay on in the role of Shylock, whom he has portrayed during the plays acclaimed summer run at the Delacorte Theater. The viewers said the Broadway run of Merchant of Venice will be presented at the Broadhurst Theater from Oct. 19 through Jan. 9, and will be produced by the Public, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel who are also teaming up for the upcoming Broadway transfer of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.

The good news for the fans is that Al Pacino and "The Merchant of Venice" will soon be on the move. The Public Theater announced Monday that following an eight-week run at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, Pacino will relocate to Broadway as Shylock in the Shakespeare comedy this fall. Opening Oct. 19 at the Broadhurst Theatre, the production will run during Jan. 9. No further casting announcements were made. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, it will be produced by the Public Theater with Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel. The Public Theatres Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merchant of Venice is transferring from Central Parks Delacorte Theater to Broadways Broadhurst Theatre for a limited engagement. Performances at the Broadhurst Theatre begin on Tuesday, October 19, 2011 and they will run through Sunday, January 9, 2011. According to broadway, Academy Award-winning actor Al Pacino will reprise his role in The Merchant of Venice, which will be presented on a 78-performance engagement. Pacino portrayed the role of Shylock in 2004s film adaptation of The Merchant of Venice and he earlier appeared at the Public Theatre 22 years ago as Marcus Antonius in Julius Caesar. Oskar Eustis, the artistic director for Public Theatre, addressed the transfer in a statement, which reads, This is a Merchant for our time and our place, thrilling, powerful, American. What fantastic evidence that Shakespeare can speak as greatly now as he did 400 years ago.

Off Broadways Theater for a New viewers announced on Wednesday that its seriously acclaimed 2007 production of The Merchant of Venice, starring F. Murray Abraham as Shylock and directed by Darko Tresnjak, will return to New York for a two-week run starting Feb. 27, at Pace Universitys Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts. Merchant is one of four productions on the new 2010-11 schedule.
