Mitsubishi the Japanese automaker have just relaunched its multi-award winning L200 pick-up. Mitsubishi has unveiled an all-new description. Mitsubishi has sold 54,000 pick-ups of the preceding age group L200 in the UK since 1998 and even in its run-out stage; Mitsubishi sustained to occupy 38% of the whole sector. All L200 variants are powered by Mitsubishi's 4D55 2.5L turbocharged plus inter cooled diesel engine, featuring 16 valves. The L200 has a stylish exterior and is good on and off road. The fuel economy isnt bad for the size of machine at around 30mpg, but without weight in the bed the L200 doesnt drive very well due to a bad shock absorber design and the rear end can tend to slide a bit in the wet. Mitsubishi has made the distinction between work and play by categorizing the L200 range as 4Work and 4Life. The former offers no frills tough workhorse qualities while the latter is packed with more leather and chrome. It also comes in other variations, Warrior and Animal. These models range in price from 17,000 to about 26,000.

Underneath the bodywork you will still find coil and leaf springs with a live axle and ladder frame chassis, although its very capable off-road you can't expect sports car handling. The L200 has switchable all wheel drive plus a lockable centre differential if you get really stuck. The Mitsubishi L200 is one of the only double-cabs on the market that you can drive on tarmac in four-wheel drive without doing any damage to the car. Overall its machine with enough style, length and power to provide most users with a good experience whether its for work or play. There are also plenty of L200 accessories available should you want to differentiate yourself from the crowd. The 176bhp and an impressive 400Nm of torque from 2,000rpm make it one of the most powerful on the market. It can tow up to 2,700kg, whether you are using the vehicle as a workhorse or not it should provide plenty of beef.
