It's always fascinating to participate in St Joseph Festival of Fallas in the marvelous 'City of the Arts and Sciences' that is Valencia
. The festival has grown since 1980 during the last five or six years, there have been slight improvements as far as any tourist offers were concerned. Living on the coast and in Valencia, you may become caught in the tidal wave of what can be called the Americas Cup, started in Valencia on November 26th 2003.

During this festival are held within the Moorish streets where historical parades are presented through the streets while the locals dressed in their traditional elaborate brocade in religious processions giving flowers to the Patron Saint of Valencia, Virgin of the Unsheltered. Another Valencia permanent attraction is the local architecture. The first of four such pieces of architecture is the City of the Arts and Sciences. One of the buildings today houses the Oceanographic museum exhibiting underwater life including sharks. Another building is the 'Museum of the Sciences Prince Philip.'
Another building is the 'Hemispheric' in which you can sit back and enjoy media presentations included in the 'Planetarium,' the 'Laserium,' or the IMAX theater. Then there is another building called The Queen Sophia Palace of the Arts with performing arts in theatre, opera and all kinds of dance exhibitions.
