Bats can be of different varieties, junior and senior, and it is better to buy lightweight bats for beginners. Senior bats may have professionally bowed blades and be oiled and partially knocked in order to make performance more effective. Some cricket players choose cricket bats with short blades and long handles for more powerful strokes. It is also important to buy special protective cricket bags to carry and keep bats in them.
