V-neck. The v-neck t-shirt is one of the more popular types of womens t-shirts worn today. Slimming and able to be worn for both professional and casual occasions, there are not many things more classy in the summer months than a fresh, white v-neck t-shirt. Depending on your personal taste, you can choose a shallow or deep v-neck, with both suitable fashion items for all women depending on the size of their bust.

Baby doll. Another popular t-shirt is the baby doll t-shirt, which is a particularly fitted type of women's clothing. It is generally characterized by smaller sleeves, stretchable, tighter fabric to accentuate the waistline and a rounded neck. This type of women's clothing is especially popular with younger women and is usually worn only as casual wear.

To add to the versatility of this variety, baby doll t-shirts can be worn in the winter or summer and look great with a fitted, long sleeved white or black shirt underneath during the cooler seasons.

Ringer. The ringer t-shirt is the type of women's clothing that is most popular as a sports uniform. Fashioned with ribbed borders in a different colour around the collar and sleeves, an example of a ringer (albeit of the male variety) is the t-shirt that Edward Cullen wore in Twilight when he played vampire baseball and they are suitable to be worn as everyday casual wear.

Crew neck. Finally, the crew neck t-shirt is very similar to the baby doll t-shirt except that it is somewhat looser in all aspects. With a round neck and usually made primarily of cotton, they were originally created for wearing inside your clothing but have since become an acceptable form of outerwear. Crew neck t-shirts are perfect as daily wear and depending on the material and the fit it they can be relatively formal, too.

Understanding the variation between styles can make the difference between buying something that you love to wear and hiding it in the back of the wardrobe.
