Would Lady Gaga Wear Urban Street Wear In Her Videos?

Born under the name of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta famously known as Lady Gaga today - her talents were noticed at the early age of 4 when she started teaching herself how to play the piano by ear. At the age of 13, she wrote her first piano piece and began performing live at open gigs by the time she reached 14. She also went to various music schools to improve her singing and song-writing capabilities.

On 2008, Lady Gaga finally hit the spotlights with her album - The Fame featuring her first single Just Dance. The world instantly fell in love with her music because of its freshness and creativity. Her vocal range and quality, lyrics, stage performance and unique persona has made her the ultimate icon of her own time. Let the wild audio-visuals and advertisements do the talking.

Take one of her videos Paparazzi - for example. On the onset, she wears some sort of silk romper-like corset, changes to a tight-fitting black ensemble, then to a tight space-suit with layers of black and white tulle draped on one shoulder and on one part of her waist. At the end of the scene - where she was having her mug shots taken - she is shown wearing a metal tube dress.

However, would Lady Gaga actually wear urban street wear in her music videos? The answer would probably be no. Unlike most artists from the pop industry who make urban streetwear clothing as their main costumes, Lady Gaga would rather prefer to wear clothes based on her own creations. These are obviously far from the typical casual daily wear.

Her outrageous fashion sense and theatrical tactics are apparently far from urban street wear and the culture that goes with it.

On the other hand, no matter how glamorous and unique Lady Gagas costumes may be in reel life, we can assume that they are not that comfortable in real life. The above-mentioned pop icon may be a fashion chameleon and a famous musician at the same time, but we can be certain that space suits and hard, bulgy dresses are some things that she wouldnt really wear to sleep.
