As well as including views of Table Mountain and balconies overlooking the courtyard, the rooms include extra touches that set the Mount Nelson apart from other Cape Town luxury accommodation, such as goose down duvets, extra length pillows and 100% cotton linen. While the rooms vary in size, all include an ensuite bathroom and living area.

The Mount Nelson Luxury hotel has many leisure facilities for the discerning traveler who demands all of the comforts of home. This includes two heated swimming pools, in the lush garden surroundings, one of the pools is reserved for adults only, two flood lit tennis courts, an on-site, well equipped fitness center, complete with personal trainers who are on hand to offer guests assistance. A new yoga studio, Yoga Bliss, has opened at the Mount Nelson recently and offers classes all year round and there is also a spa and hair salon for those in need of some relaxation. There are many 5 star boutique hotels in Cape Town, but few can match the quality and level of service offered at the Mount Nelson luxury hotel.
