. One such museum that attracts a lot of visitors is the Kisumu Museum in Kenya. Kisumu is one of the oldest historical towns in Kenya. It dates back to 1900 when the Uganda Railway stopped there. The town used to be known as Port Florence but later changed to Kisumu from the word sumo' describing a place of trading. Museum should always tell a story at least from its location or the country itself. Kisumu Museum offers tourists value for their money. It tells the story of the Luo community which is dominant in the area. It tells about the community migration and cultural activities.
