Vitamin B1 Deficiency
Beri-Beri. Symptoms of this ailment include swollen hands and feet, tingling or burning sensation in those parts, getting confused most of the time, having difficulty in breathing as a result of getting fluid inside the lungs, and nystagmus or losing control of one's eye movement.
Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. Generally caused by not getting proper nourishment (including deficiency in Vitamin B1) and excessive alcohol intake, Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome is a serious brain ailment. It is a result of a neural damage in a person's peripheral and central nervous system, which makes the person gain memory loss.
Cataracts. People with deficient Vitamin B1 supply are also prone to developing cataracts. To avoid this, one should ensure he has sufficient supply of Vitamin B1 as well as protein in their diet.
Vitamin B2 Deficiency
This vitamin, also known as riboflavin, is important for red blood cell formulation, production of antibodies, and growth. Deficiencies include mouth and tongue inflammation, dermatitis, hair loss, difficulty in sleeping or insomnia, poor digestion, slow mental response, just to name some.
Vitamin B3 Deficiency
This vitamin, also known as niacin, promotes proper circulation and allows us to retain a healthy skin. Lack of Vitamin B3 supply would result in diarrhea, fatigue, appetite loss, skin eruptions, only to name some.
