The Nintendo Wii U Is Set To Launch

Nintendo Wii U will launch on November the 30th in the UK alongside a host of impressive games and content

. There will be two Wii U bundles, a white basic pack that will come with a white console, one gamepad, 8GBs storage capacity, HDMI cable and Sensor Bar.

The more expensive black Deluxe Wii U Bundle includes a black console, black gamepad, 32GB of storage, Sensor Bar, HDMI cable, Console stand, Charging Stand and the Nintendo Land game.

Considering Nintendo Land costs around 40 on its own and currently the Nintendo Wii U is priced at a number of shops at approximately 209 for the basic bundle and 259 for the deluxe bundle, the additional accessories really make the deluxe Wii U bundle good value for money.

With around 50 titles coming to the Nintendo Wii U over the 5 months after its release, New Super Mario Bros will launch alongside the Wii U in Europe and looks brilliant, its sure to be a big hitter for the Wii U console. Other titles that are being released on launch day also include:

6. FIFA 13

7. Mass Effect 3 Special Edition

8. Nano Assault Neo

With its release coming just before December, the Nintendo Wii U will surely be one of the most asked for Christmas presents this year. Ideally, Nintendo wouldve preferred the release date to be sooner but releasing it at the end of November still gives them the opportunity to snap up the Christmas market. Despite a global recession, there will still be people who can afford this type of luxury present and with no competition in terms of new consoles, Nintendo could be set for a bright Christmas.

This will have negative effects on both Xbox and PlayStation, who can realistically expect very low console sales as a result of the Wii U release. Its fair to assume that they may engage in a price war, resulting in some impressive offers leading up to Christmas. With the Wii U being priced over 200, there may be some console deals or bundles for the Xbox and PlayStation that come well under this price to attract shoppers with tighter budgets to work with.

With the early release of a console, Nintendo have really shook things up and if their competitors suffer poor console sales, we can expect them to push harder to get their very own next generation consoles ready as soon as possible. Either way, we are definitely in for an interesting Christmas in terms of the console market this year.
