The Nokia 2330 Classic has a built-in stereo FM radio with a dedicated key and internal
antenna for the user to enjoy multiple radio stations including preset ones. The handset also has a VGA camera for image and video capture and great messaging features.
The handset runs the Nokia operating system, series 40 which offers an easy to use user interface working in conjunction with the classic design and traditional numeric keypad that the phone also offers. The handset has a 1.8 inch TFT display screen capable of rendering up to 65 thousand colours and with a resolution of 128 x 160. Additionally, the phone offers an impressive internal dynamic memory of 32 megabytes.
The 2330 Classic has great connectivity with its Bluetooth 2.0 and SyncML support, along with support to synchronise calendar, notes and contacts with Microsoft Outlook. The dual-band handset connects via EGSM and GSM respectively and data networks are class B EDGE and GPRS. Additionally, the phone has thew capability to serve as a data modem.
The phone has a VGA camera on its reverse with a Wafer level and CMOS sensor for images and a 15 centimetre to infinity focus range along with zoom and different modes. The camera also features automatic white balancing on image capture and uses the full screen as a view finder when in camera mode. Meanwhile, video recording is at up to 15 frames per second (in CIF) and up to 4 times digital zoom is available along with automatic scene modes.
Music is offered through an intuitive music player capable of of MP3 and ACC music playback which can be done in the background while using other features on the handset. Audio can be heard either through the loudspeaker on the phones reverse or through the 2.5mm Nokia audio connection on the upper left side of device. This is in addition to the stereo FM radio.
Messaging is made simple on this phone with a unified editor for text and multimedia along with an easy to use email composer and fast access to inboxes for both text and multimedia messages, as well as email messages which have push capability for instant receiving. The most prominent email protocols (POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP) are supported by the device.
The Nokia 2330 Classic is an impressive and simplistic handset with a classic design and useful shortcut and evicted keys to both messaging and its other resourceful features such as the FM stereo radio and music player. It is further enhanced by the presence of a good VGA camera or both image and video capturing.
