Nokia's range of slider handsets is ever increasing

, and the latest addition is the 6700 Slide which is now available in a Pink colour variant. With key features including a 5 MP camera and internet access, it is both stylish and functional.

As mentioned, the built in digital camera boasts 5 Mega pixels. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, so the still images are of a very high quality. Autofocus and LED flash make the task of taking pictures easy. It also doubles up as an effective video camera which shoots in QCIP at 15 fps.

The 6700 Slide Pink has a 2.2 inch TFT screen which displays the on screen content in high quality thanks to a pixel layout of 240x320, and displaying 16M colours.

The list of features makes the 6700 Slide Pink a functional everyday handset. Features include a versatile media player which supports a wide range of file formats for both music and video files. Games and a radio player offer alternative entertainment options. An organiser and voice memo recorder make the handset a useful productivity tool.

Internal memory is 45 MB for storing data such as music files and video clips. A micro SD slot has a pre-installed memory card of 2 GB, but this can be replaced with a card of up to 16 GB for further storage. The internal phonebook can store an unlimited number of contacts, and the Photocall feature allows a photo to be assigned to each contact.

The dimensions of the 6700 Slide Pink are 95.2x46.1x15.9mm and the weight is 110 grams, which is light for a slider phone. The bright pink colour scheme is sure to appeal to style conscious users who are looking for a head-turning handset.

Downloadable polyphonic ringtones and the ability to assign MP3 files as ringtones allow users to customise their handset so they can hear a song of their choice whenever the phone rings. Vibration alerts users to incoming calls when the phone is set to silent. In order to talk handsfree, a speakerphone system and an audio jack are provided.

Several methods of connectivity are utilised for connecting to the internet and cellular networks as well as other devices. Cellular networks rely on EDGE and GPRS (both class 32 versions) for connection. The internet is provided through 3G coverage. This is thanks to HSDPA at 10.2 Mbps as well as HSUPA at 2 Mbps.
