The Nokia E7 Utilises A Wide Range Of Features by:Chris Westley
Measuring 123.7x 62.4x 13.6 mm, the Nokia E7 is a relatively compact handset which
is a pleasure to use, and is also light weight of 176 g which is impressive for a phone user keyboard unit. A large 4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen boasts the ability to display up to 16M colours within a pixel configuration of 360x 640. This provides stunning clarity and quality of on screen imagery making it perfect for viewing photos and video files. Additional features of the screen include multi-touch input method, proximity an accelerometer sensors, touch sensitive controls and handwriting recognition. The screen itself is manufactured from scratch-resistant materials protecting it from everyday wear and tear.
Unusually for Smartphone, the Nokia E7 does not have a micro SD card slot. However there is simply no need for one thanks to a whopping 16 GB of internal storage provided as standard, alongside 256 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM. 16 GB of storage is an ideal amount for those who like to keep a large number of music tracks or videos on their phone, and is unlikely that more storage and the need for the average user.
Class 32 versions of both EDGE & GPRS provide the Nokia E7 with its connections to cellular networks when out and about. In order to connect to the Internet, an HSDPA connection provides speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second in areas with 3G coverage (alongside HSUPA at 2 MB per second). In order to gain a faster Internet connection, a handset also includes full Wi-Fi connectivity which takes advantage of local Wireless Networks where available. Additional connectivity features include Bluetooth and micro USB, which allows the handset to be connected to other devices whereby a number of different tasks can be carried out.
A stunning 8 mega pixel digital camera is provided, which utilises a pixel resolution of 3264x 2448 in order to produce superb quality still images. Some of the included image enhancing features are fixed focus, face detection, dual LED flash as well as geo-tagging. The camera can also shoot video in great quality 720p HD at 25 frames per second.
The operating system of choice is Symbian 3 OS, which works in conjunction with a 680 megahertz processor to provide a superb user experience. Long list of standard features in both entertainment and productivity fields makes the Nokia E7 and appealing all rounder. This combined with the fact that a number of different colour variants will be available means it looks set to be popular upon its upcoming release.
