In case of X6 they released a 32 GB version with good headphones and with the sign up to their music service. Naturally this had an impact on the price of the phone. So after the first sales Nokia went on to fix some of the bugs, lower the price by removing the sign up and the headphones and install 16 GB instead of 32 GB. All the functionality was kept, which means that this is still the same smartphone, but for a much lower price.

The reception of X6 varies from review to review, but if you will take a closer look at the reviewers you will see that geeky and smartphone oriented websites tend to look for some slowdowns and disadvantages, while websites that review phones from casual point o view praise this phone as being one of the best in its category. Great MP3 player, good design, touchscreen and great functionality make this a real Nokia product. One of the products that eventually led Nokia on top of the mobile phone business. And even thought a lot of people criticize Nokia's phones for breaking too often, this happens only because the sales of Nokia are twice as high as the sales of its competitors, so naturally worldwide there are more broken nokias, just because there is an immense number of nokias. Some of the users might experience some problems with the keyboard at first but in time everything gets easier and the phone becomes very comfortable to use. As for the rest of the mentioned disadvantages, they are small and cannot harm the overall good impression of this phone.

Of course generally there are two types of customers those who tend to have one device with maximum functions and those who tend to keep multiple devices. Both of these approaches have their advantages and disadvantages. Multiple devices means more money spent on purchase and possible maintenance, more needed space and more risk of losing one of the devices. Nevertheless specialized devices might have some advantages over all-in-one devices. For example mp3 players can have better sound quality. But the overall tendency is pointed at single devices that can handle all the customer's needs and Nokia X6 is a phone for people the first type of the customers. If you aim to get all in one X6 is a thing for you, it won't fail at any part of the functionality.
