The Power of Biblical Affirmations

The understanding of the power and effect of words is still in its infancy. Many of us do not perceive the weight our speech carries and why it is vital to our success that we say words which are wholesome and beneficial to our well-being as well as the well-being of others to whom we speak. Words are containers. They contain love, joy and peace. They also contain hate and fear, degradation and depression. We must ensure that our words are filled with life, strength and victory.

It has been proven time and time again that a person who practices the art and develops the daily habit of speaking strong and powerful affirmations, will rise to the top in life, seeing and enjoying life-transforming experiences, which elevate their souls into a state of wonder, amazement and peace.

A great way to practice speaking powerful affirmations is to confess and affirm Scriptures from that SACRED BOOK, THE BIBLE, in the morning when you first awake, and then again, in the evening, before your retire. Here are two of them you can begin to affirm right away.

1. Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."

Confess and affirm this when you wake up in the morning. As you go through your day and face challenges and the issues of life, affirm again that you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you. Then say it again before you sleep. It will light a fire within you. It will build faith inside of you.

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness."

This is great to affirm. God gives you assurances which, if embraced and believed, can change your very life for the better. So affirm this daily.

We have all been given the ability to decide what we will say and what we will not say. Speech is a gift from God. So let us choose our words wisely and affirm words which give courage to conquer, persistence to over-come, hope to hold on and hold out, faith to win and love to help others do the same.
