Did you ever think about moving to another country and exercising your talents and grace with a public venue

? When we found our current home online under international real estate, it was immediately fetching. Never did I imagine such a romantic setting and such amazing architecture at an affordable price. We were on a plane in two days and wrote an offer in 6 days. No looking back.

Adventure is key in life. We renovated, added two suites, and messed around with different concepts for two years. As a family run business, everyone contributes and the chores are plentiful. As a mother, teaching the teenage kids to serve and present themselves is a valuable tool considered to be part of their schooling. The ante has been raised. My daughter serves breakfast, my other daughter prepares the cuisine, my mother does her Italian-roots routine with making the perfect bed and tweaking the room to be 'just so', and I meet and greet and check on their needs.My son acts as valet and gets the cars to the bodega for private parking. All in a days work.

Something missing in the USA from my standpoint is the family unit and having children understand the value of communication and work. When I went to visit my Italian family in 1983, I was captivated by the bootcamp of family activity. Up early, cleaning and preparing the small hotel for business. By noon, a huge family siesta of the best Italian fare. A few hours later, back to work. In the evening when things wound down, we would go for pizza and beer. All experiences provide keys to use in life. That visit to Italy was my key to Mexico and opening a bed and breakfast in Guanajuato. Meeting people from allover the world and learning to adapt into another culture and work as a family has been the adventure of a lifetime.

Our bed and breakfast rests in the center of Mexico, high in the Sierra Madres, in what I call the Wild West and the last of the truly authentic Mexican towns. Cowboys, cactus and cobblestone streets fill our days and big skies of sunshine and amazing cloud formations dazzle our senses. Our guests love Mineral de Pozos. The business owners here work together and the serendipity has people share their Pozos experience to keep the flow of newcomers daily. To live a magical life in a magical place can be possible in many places. Mineral de Pozos just happens to be my choice for Guanajuato real estate and a business venue. Perfect weather, cool at night and warm sunny days. Fresh air with humming birds, bees and butterflies galore...all signs of the freshest air. No smog here! It is the perfect vacation or weekend jaunt for the artist, the biker, the walker, the photographer, the architect....you get the picture. Travel and novelty open the spirit and Guanajuato real estate is a perfect way to invest and create a lifestyle of your own.
