Just to go into a little history about Vogue as considering the company is such a huge influence in the fashion industry, many people dont realise how long the amazing brand has been running for.

Founded in 1892 by Arthur Turnure, Vogue first began as a weekly publication in the United States, but it wasnt until 1916 that Vogue went to Britain.

Vogue quickly became a magazine that made household names out of models and these models included, Suzy Parker, Twiggy, Penelope Tree, Lauren Hutton and many more.

Todays Vogue is under the management of Anna Wintour who is editor in chief of Vogue. Wintour is well known not only for her fabulous job role but also for her trademark bob hair cut and sunglasses that she always sports in doors.

Wintour has worked to protect the magazines high-status and reputation amongst other fashion publications, and this has allowed her to keep a high circulation due to discovering new trends that a wide audience can afford.

Due to Anna Wintours status in Vogue magazine she has the capability to make or break a designers career. This is the same when it comes to trends such as womens boots because if Vogue says something is in fashion then all the designers, fans and celebrities follow through with the trend just because Vogue said so.

This power isnt something a publication can have instantly, this power has been built up over time and The New York Times (another powerful publication) stated Vogue as the worlds most influential fashion magazine.

So much so that their recent publication which discusses why boots for women are the new essential must-have over a warm jacket will mean that many woman influenced by the magazine around the world will go out and purchase their womens boots over a coat.

Vogue stated that womens boots have the ability to dramatically dress thing with just a detail (fur trim, python skin,) toughens a look with studs and buckles, or work as a comfortable but chic alternative to an evening stiletto as the boots fill many shoes.

This statement is very much true as many designers and high street shops cater to the likes of many women who have different styles, tastes and preference.
