The Rewards Of Medical Transcription At Home

A friend of the family runs her own Medical Transcriptionist business

. She started out as a Transcriptionist herself and it led her to owning and operating her own business with her own employees. She works hard at what she does and is rewarded. The best thing is that she is able to do medical transcription at home. Her two children are never far from their mother.

In the past I've never really considered medical transcriptionist work at home as employment to be truthful. However, the more I hear about the job, the more I believe it may be a really advantageous and enjoyable career choice for me. As a mother of three children, I think working from home would be the most beneficial for my family, especially for my newborn son. Id be able to care for my children as well as earn extra money to start saving for the future. That future keeps sneaking up on us daily. My two daughters are nine and twelve years old. They are rapidly becoming teenagers and thereby becoming more and more expensive to feed and clothe. Ive also become startlingly aware that, before I know it, they will take the SAT and begin to fill out college applications. The problem is that even if they both receive excellent scholarships, their expenses will increase exponentially with books, fees, school supplies and rooming costs. How will my husband and I be able to afford all that? Perhaps a career in Medical Transcription can help.

What really appeals to me about the Medical Transcriptionist career is the flexibility of work schedule. My family is very important to me. Ideally, I would be able to stay at home to breastfeed my son and watch him grow while still earning steady money. My husband is a self-employed carpenter, but occasionally work is slow or the weather doesnt allow for him to be outside working. Roofing in a thunderstorm is foolhardy, to say the least. And, unfortunately, his paycheck reflects the whims of the weather quite often. When it does, we scrape by, spending a little less on groceries or paying a bill late. If ever any physical injury happens to my husband on the job, we are also without a means of support. With my working from home, we could save extra for our childrens college expenses as well as supplement our income in such lean times. SN:0TG9Y2ESY

I graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Creative Writing in 1995. Since then, Ive gotten married and become a mother. Training online to become a Medical Transcriptionist would give me the advantage of staying close to my children while rediscovering the joys of writing. I hope that within a year of taking the MT courses I will become employed in the field. In the next five years, I hope that Ive found it to be a lucrative and enjoyable career, giving my family a much-needed supplemental income. Taking the MT courses will be an investment in not only my future, but also the futures of my three children.
