The Samsung Galaxy S Offers A 4 Inch Superamoled Touchscreen

The Samsung Galaxy S is a Candy bar design handset with an impressive large 4 inch capitative WVGA SuperAMOLED touchscreen

. It runs Android 2.1 operating system supported by a 1GHz processor. It also has a 5 megapixels resolution camera, capable of video recording and playback in HD.

The 3G phone has WiFi also, along with Bluetooth 3.0 for close range sharing of data, and a microUSB connection for connecting to a PC. The internal memory included is a choice between 8 or 16 gigabytes, with an expandable microSD card slot providing a further 32GB as required.

The main 5 megapixel camera includes features such as autofocus, Self shot, Action shot, Panorama shot and Smile shot, as well as Stop motion and Add me. There is also an additional VGA Telephony camera for video calling. The main camera is capable of recording HD video at 30 frames per second (fps), and the video playback is of equal quality on the large screen this handset offers.

The Android operating system includes Social Hub which integrates messages and status updates on social networking sites together in one easy to view place for the user. Many applications and widgets are able to be added easily by downloading from Android Market, to help customise and get more from this phone.

The Galaxy S includes A-GPS and an Accelerometer, along with a digital compass to enable navigation and location based services, applications and widgets to help the user find their way to wherever they need directions. The web browser offers further aid and search capabilities, and is the usual Android WebKit full HTML browser. An RSS Reader is also featured.

Email and messaging are made easy, with multiple email accounts available, along with Microsoft Exchange Sync, for easy corporate email integration. Text, media and video messaging are also all provided at the touch of the screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S features a fantastic sleek design and large 4 inch touchscreen, along with an impressive 1GHz processor for applications running on its Android operating system. The (operating) system provides the user with common features which they may already be use to from previous handsets, while presenting them on a larger screen. The camera meanwhile provides not only better photo capture, but excellent HD quality video recording and playback for the user to play with as well. This handset provides improved hardware resources, alongside the well-known and expandable capabilities of Android 2.1 OS.
