The Samsung Galaxy S has a stunning display which offers rich media and the Android

2.1 operating system through vivid colour and a seamless user interface. The handset also has a 5 megapixel camera for image and video capture as well as plenty of entertainment features.

The handset comes with GMail integrated, along with support for other personal email accounts such as Hotmail, and is preloaded with the Thinkfree document viewer enabling you to view office documents attached to emails. There is also BPP mobile printing and voice memo and mail services for business or office use of the phone. Other messaging solutions offered include both text and multimedia messaging along with Gutless instant messenger for chat.

Connectivity is provided through Bluetooth 3.0 which supports many profiles including the stereo audio profiles for wireless headsets to connect to the handset when in music playback (A2DP and AVRCP respectively). The Samsung Kies application is also preloaded for syncing with a PC through the USB 2.0 connector with file transfer supported. The 3G and Wi-Fi connections make it easy to go online and browse the web in full HTML with the Chrome-lite web browser. There is also TV output for connection to a big screen when using the video player to playback videos.

The Galaxy S has a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with digital zoom capability, and multiple shot modes and photo effects when capturing images, which are saved as JPEG image files. Video recording is performed at 30 frames per second and 720 pixel resolution providing DVD quality videos. The handset also has a front VGA secondary camera for video calling.

Entertainment is provided with the music player and library which keeps your tracks sorted and easily accessible for playback either through a wireless Bluetooth stereo headset, connection to a stereo system. Additionally, the handset has an integrated FM radio with RDS support for live music and news. The phone also has an internal AGPS antenna which provides location based services and supports location based applications such as Google Maps, through the large 4 inch Super AMOLED touch screen offered.

The Samsung Galaxy S is a full touch bar handset featuring an impressive 4 inch display and easy user interface running the Android 2.1 operating system which can have further applications downloaded and added to, while also running multiple applications at once. The handset also offers plenty of entertainment features along with its 5 megapixel camera for high quality image and video capture.
