The Search Engine War Is Hotting Up As Bing Teams With Wolfram Alpha

The search engine industry has for the past decade been dominated by one name and that is Google

, there has been numerous companies that have come and gone trying to challenge the giant, but most have failed. But there is one company that have forever been on the backs on Google and that is Microsoft, the company have been trying for years to out do Google on the search engine front.

Recently Microsoft though have stepped up on the gas. They rebranded their search engine and called it Bing, besides that they have pushed a whopping advertising budget through which has seen them pinch some of Google's market share. But what is most exciting is the fact that Microsoft are really taking this seriously now and have agreed a deal with Yahoo, the second largest search engine to power their results, this will also give Microsoft access to Yahoo search algothirm which could really see Bing as a powerful source.

But Microsoft do not want to stop there and recently it has been confirmed that they will be teaming up with another search engine called Wolfram Alpha which aims to answer questions directly, rather than display a list of links like a search engine. So Bing can deliver even more relevant results to things such as searches about Maths or Science.

But Google do not seem to be taking this lying down, they have responded to numerous changes to their search results. Some that are liked and some that are not liked by current users. But most importantly Google are releasing a new infrastructure for their search technology which will enable them to crawl deeper and faster than ever before. This will give them the ability to rank the most current sites that are in demand.

Google have also made deals with the likes of Twitter and are constantly tweaking their results in order of staying ahead of the competition. It is going to be great to see how all of this pans out in the end, but I can assure you that Google are going to do everything in their power so that they do not lose out on any more market share. I mean they have not become the biggest search engine overnight, so they are not really going to let it go overnight.

People are looking for a change, but will it be Bing that's the change, or do people want another company?
