The Central Market. The Batlia and Marques de la Scala palaces are found in this area. They both serve as government offices today and are National Historic and Artistic Monuments. One of the only two remaining gateways of the city, Torres de Quart is also found here. The Central Market or Mercado Central is found alongside the Silk market or la Lonja de Seda and Santos Juanes church. All three places are important buildings in Valencia.

The Beaches. Since the city lies on the Mediterranean Sea no visit is complete without a visit to the beaches. The beaches of Valencia are only about 10 minutes from downtown and they offer some wonderful relaxation, fun and sun. You can stroll of the boardwalk, Paseo Maritimo and stop at one of the many restaurants for some amazing seafood specials.

The Old River. When in Valencia be sure to visit the area of the Old River. The Turia River actually is home to the most popular of spots in the cities. This area is newly renovated and one of the most modern areas in Valencia.
