Facebook will soon release its new product, Facebook Questions to all its 500 million members - will it be about asking a question and getting 500 million possible answers? Let's see.
You are still wondering what that Facebook Questions is right? Well, just imagine this...
"You have a question and you need an answer to that question. Unfortunately you don't have much time or you're just being lazy to use Yahoo Answers or another Q&A platform to get an answer. What is Facebook Questions? It's just a little search-like bar that's supposedly going be situated on your left sidebar of your homepage. You can ask any question you want to either a specific friend or to the whole Facebook community also I think. I'm sure Facebook will implement some basic rules about privacy, use of proper language, relevant questions and links (spam & 'dirty' advertising).
o So, if you want to have an answer to a question like, "How can I link my Facebook account to my Twitter account?" or "How to cook a pancake?" you will be able to do that and probably get an answer in minutes. Wow!
o Do you have a picture of a place but you don't know where that place is? Just attach it to your question and post it. I think that through 500 million members you might be able to hit a proper answer.
o You will also be able to follow specific questions and answers.
Great stuff Facebook team. Apparently they are bringing some changes to the homepage as well. On the other hand the product is still being tested and hopefully we will be able to post our questions soon. One thing though, Facebook Questions will not be used for advertising purposes.
