The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro Unveiled
The summer of 2010 sees the launch of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro
, a great handset which follows on from the original Vivaz but with the extra bonus of a full Qwerty keypad for people who like to message more.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro boasts great connectivity, which is a key element to any good mobile phone. The phone offers both quad band GPRS and tri band HSDPA. Edge and 3G are both also supported, meaning the handset is superb for people who want to constantly stay in touch via the net, e mail or any other method. 3G also means a very quick web browsing experience. The inclusion of WiFi on the handset also means an even speedier experience when connected to a personal router or a public WiFi network. Local connectivity is also well supported. Micro USB means easy connection to a laptop or a pc. Bluetooth means data can be easily transferred between other compatible devices without the need of wires. Running on the Symbian operating platform, the Vivaz pro has a 720mHz processor, meaning everything runs smoothly and applications load quickly and effortlessly.
To accompany the excellent connectivity, Sony Ericsson have fitted several features on the Vivaz Pro which embrace this and appeal to a wide range of consumers. With regards to social networking they have pre installed applications for both Twitter and Facebook. Pictures and videos can also be uploaded directly to sites such as YouTube and Picasa. A host of navigational functions are also included including Google maps and the excellent Wisepilot application gives you step by step instructions on how to reach your desired destination. Push e mail also means you are kept instantly updated with any incoming messages.
The primary difference between the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and this new Pro model is the addition of a full Qwerty keypad. This slide out keypad means a couple of millimetres have been added to the depth of the unit, however a compact profile is still maintained. When closed the handset measures 109 x 52 x 15 mm. The neat design of the unit sits nicely in the palm, the weight of 117 grammes means it does not feel to heavy and when opened the keys on the keypad are well spaced out to prevent typing errors. A 3.2" TFT screen displays a 360 x 640 resolution and can display upto 16 million colours.
Never designed to take over from its sibling the Vivaz, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro offers users extra functionality due to the slide out keypad. Excellent connectivity and brilliant multimedia features make this a handset with widespread appeal.
