The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Is An Impressively Stylish Handset by:Chris Westley

The Sony Ericsson has recently been busy with the XPERIA X10 range

. One of the handsets in this popular range of mobiles is the XPERIA X10 Mini. Despite its compact size as the name suggests the manufacturer or has somehow managed to pack in incredible array of features into the spec list.

One of the more impressive features of the X10 mini is the built in five mega pixel digital camera. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2560x 1920 pixels providing excellent quality to still images. Autofocus and an LED flash are included to simplify the task of taking great quality photos. As you may expect this camera can also shoot video and this is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second and includes a video light so quality footage can still be shot even in low lighting conditions.

The 2.55 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen provides a dynamic and interactive means of navigating the Android 1.6 user interface. High quality display of on screen imagery is achieved thanks to the ability to display up to 16M colours within 240x 320 pixels. An accelerometer sensor is built into the screen which serves the purpose of rotating the on screen image dependent upon the orientation of the phone.

As the name suggests the XPERIA X10 mini is a compact handset measuring just 83x 50x 16 mm. Its compact dimensions make it ideally sized for comfort of use whilst its slimline profile and light weight of just 88 g makes it a pocket friendly handset.

128 MB of internal memory is provided as standard. For storage of data and files such as music tracks or photos, a micro SD slot is provided with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card. Should more storage be required, this can be upgraded up to 16 GB. This should provide sufficient storage for the needs of most users.

A long list of additional features makes the Sony Ericsson the XPERIA X10 mini an extremely versatile handset. From a versatile media player to Google and YouTube integration, it offers appeal to entertainment fans as well as users who are seeking a productivity tool with features such as a document viewer and voice memo recorder.

The XPERIA X10 mini users a number of different connectivity features to stay connected ranging from class 10 GPRS & EDGE, whilst Internet connections are provided via HSDPA in areas covered by 3G along with Wi-Fi whenever a signal from an Internet router is detected. USB and Bluetooth connections allow the handset to connect to other devices.

Available in a number of different colour variants, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini offers appeal not only to tech savvy users, but also to the style conscious who also view their mobile phone as a fashion statement.
